Achievement Prep is a college preparatory public
charter school located in Washington, DC. Our primary mission is to prepare students
in grades four through eight to excel as high-achieving scholars and leaders in high
school, college and beyond. Our second mission
is to foster positive character development, leadership and perseverance. We are a tuition-free, open enrollment, public
charter school. Achievement Prep is a Building
Excellent Schools Fellow founded school. The Head of School of Achievement
Prep, Shantelle Wright, has received extensive executive training, guidance and
support from Building Excellent Schools, a national non-profit organization based in Boston, MA that is committed to dramatically improving
the academic achievement of underserved students in urban areas across the country. For
